I learned a lot about the faberge eggs. I knew that they were expensive but I hadn’t realized just how expensive they are. I mean they’re essentially tiny metal balls but they have so much detail, thought, and meaning behind them. They’re so delicate and have such a rich history. It’s so cool how that person from the midwest found a faberge egg at a flea market, which literally changed his life. I can't believe how much they are sold for. I love the aesthetics of them with the way that the light reflects off the intricate, gold designs. I also like how each one tells you about the owner of it and a little mini story. I found it really endearing that they dedicated eggs to each other. Imagine getting an egg from your spouse. Even though they didn’t necessarily make it themselves, they definitely put time and thought into it. I may want to try that intricacy in my art such as trying to get very detailed in my oil painting.
