Art Director
They lead how the overall aesthetic of a publication, film, tv show or general campaign looks. Art directors also need to be able to lead their entire department which includes managing other creative designers and artists in their department while simultaneously carrying out the client’s vision. Art directors typically start out in a fine art-related field like photography for around five years and usually have a bachelor’s degree in art and sometimes a master’s in art. The most important part would be acquiring a strong portfolio in order to get the job. You can get a degree in almost any fine art but graphic design would be more specific for this field. Rhode Island School of Design is one of the best design and overall art schools. Other schools renowned for this major would be Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab, University of Cincinnati: College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, Carnegie Mellon University School of Design, and Parsons The New School for Design.
